S.E.T. GOALS

To empower girls in our community to achieve unimagined possibilities and instill knowledge and discovery, resulting in enhancing their own personal strengths; and to foster the natural bond between all women through hands-on education, mentorship, and dedicated leadership.

S.E.T provides a monthly, after school workshop to girls, on site, at Cesar Chavez, Blaker Kinser, and Mae Hensley Ceres Junior High schools. It is truly a working partnership with Soroptimist of Ceres and the Ceres Unified School District.

Relating to our Soroptimist mission, Soroptimist of Ceres and the S.E.T. committee provides these workshops in order to Empower young girls with increased awareness and education from topics such as: High School Tips and Future Goals; Body Image; Handling Anxiety; Peer Pressure; Internet Dangers. We also include making a fun craft for them to take home. An ‘expert' Soroptimist teaches the girls crafts such as: flower arranging; making bracelets; baking tips & decorating cookies; painting.

Many teens do not have mentors in their lives, and we feel it is an honor to work with these girls.
